Department Profile

The department of information science and Engineering was started in the year of 1999-2000 with an intake of 60. It has qualified and dedicated faculty committed to achieve excellence in Technical Education so as to produce competent Engineers. The department is affiliated to V.T.U, Belgaum and recognized by A.I.C.T.E, New Delhi. The Information Science and Engineering course is spread over 8 semesters and enables students to develop professional skills through study and practical work.

Internet Facility

Department is providing Internet Leased Line Bandwidth from Bharti and 2Mbps leased line service from TULIP IT Services Ltd to the students and staff

Air Conditioned seminar hall with seating capacity of 60, LCD projection system and good sound system is housed in the department.

EDUSAT

EDUSAT- An e-learning program started jointly by V.T.U. and ISRO. The institute is recognized as one of the nodal center for the programme.

Departmental Library

The department shares this facility with the Computer Science and Engineering department.

Student Counselling

Student counselling is a continuous process carried out in the department. Each teacher is assigned 15 to 20 students whose academic progress is closely monitored and communicated to their parents after every term test and university examination. Students are encouraged to discuss their personal and career problems with their counselors. There is also group counselling.
