The Department of civil engineering has been functioning since 1980. The department offers a full time B.E degree course in civil engineering and is excelling in its activities from past 24 years. Apart from conducting academic programs, additional computer courses, seminars and workshops are conducted for the students as well as the faculty. A number of consultancy works are also being carried out. The department has signed the MOU with few leading consultants and companies to develop institution-industry interaction for the benefit of students and faculty. The department was under the affiliation of university of university of mysore from 1980 to 1992 &under Kuvempu University from 1992 to 1998 onwards the departments is under the affiliation of Visvesvaraya Technological University. The present student intake of the department is 20.The department has faculty strength of 16. The students from different parts of the country are studying in the branch.
