Admission for the first year of the course shall be open to the students who have passed the two year Pre-University examination (Science) conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board.
OR
10+2 the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as optional subjects and English as a subject of study.
OR

Those who have passed another examination recognized by the University as equivalent there to.

The Candidates passed in (10+2) or any other equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects and with 45% of  aggregate marks in Physics ,Mathematics and one of the subjects of Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biotechnology.

The three year Diploma Holders in appropriate branch of Engineering granted (awarded) by the Board of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka or any other Diploma qualification considered equivalent thereto by this University are eligible for admission.

All other candidates (Non-Karnataka) have to obtain eligibility certificate for seeking admission to B.E. degree course from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum through the College. The University will notify dates for the issue of eligibility certificates from time to time.

For foreign students - After ensuring that the candidate meets the minimum essential requirements as specified, a letter of admission will be issued by AIT based on which the candidate can obtain a visa from the Government of India. Admission will be made only after the candidate submits relevant documents including visa.
